Dr. Akita Evans, MD, MPH

Dr. Evans is a board certified family medicine physician with training in functional medicine. She has practiced medicine for over ten years treating newborns to the elderly. Additionally, Dr. Evans provides medical education, quality management, and consultations.

She received her training at Brown Medical School and completed her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she served as chief resident. She also earned a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and practiced at the Mattapan Community Health Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Evans has a passion for individualized care, which includes exploring genetics, family history, and lifestyle to optimize physical, mental and spiritual health. She also recognizes that the way in which individuals interact within their families, communities, and environments affect their well-being.
